The Queens family court does not handle divorce, separation and annulment cases. These cases are all heard in Queens Supreme Court which is located at
Queens Family Court generally hears family offense cases (when an individual requests an order of protection b/c of domestic violence), child custody, child support, child visitation, guardianship, spousal support, adoption, paternity, child neglect and abuse, juvenile delinquent cases, and foster care cases.
