Joseph Alter is a trial attorney handling criminal defense and personal injury matters in New Jersey state and federal courts. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University and his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law.
After law school, Joseph served as a judicial law clerk in the Essex Vicinage of the New Jersey Superior Court, working inside chambers on the same criminal calendar he now practices before. He then joined the law office of Anthony J. Pope, trying cases across New Jersey before joining Spodek Law Group P.C..

In March 2025, Joseph secured a full acquittal - not guilty on all counts - for a client in a New Jersey jury trial. He is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey and before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
