Maple Street Correctional Facility

Everything You Need to Know About the Maple Street Correctional Facility

Discover All the Information You Need for Your Loved Ones Incarcerated in Maple Street Detention Center

Nestled in the heart of Redwood City, California, the Maple Street Correctional Facility is a place that no one wants to end up in. However, if you or your loved one have found yourselves there, we have all the information you need to navigate the experience.

Operated by the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, this state-of-the-art facility boasts 576 beds, and was built in 2016. It houses both men and women detained on criminal allegations, as well as those who have been sentenced for misdemeanor and/or felony crimes. It is a dedicated facility that provides “transitional services” for convicted inmates.

Are you looking to find a friend or loved one incarcerated in this detention center? Look no further than the San Mateo County Sheriff’s “Inmate Locator” search engine, which provides booking information for inmates, including their criminal charge(s) and category (felony or misdemeanor), bail information (if available), booking ID number, and housing location. Alternatively, you can call the jail directly at (650) 559-3000 to obtain detailed information about a current inmate.

As for bail bonding, don’t worry, there are options. The San Mateo County Sheriff’s “Inmate Locator” search engine also provides bail amounts, and you can call the jail directly for more information. You can pay cash bail at the detention center cashier’s window, or you can hire a bail bondsman to help you post a bond.

Once your loved one is inside the detention center, you’ll want to stay in touch. While inmates are not allowed to take incoming personal calls, they have regular access to phones for outgoing calls. All detainees are provided opportunities to make free, local phone calls during booking. If you’d like to set up a pre-paid account for your friend or family member to make personal calls, visit ICSolutions.com or call (888) 506-8407. Credit and debit cards can be used to make phone deposits by phone or online, and you can also mail a cashier’s check or money order to IC Solutions Customer Service at 2200 Danbury Street, San Antonio, TX 78217.

Please note that all inmate communication is subject to monitoring and recording. For that reason, we advise avoiding messages or conversations pertaining to pending criminal charges.

Finally, Maple Street Detention Facility provides meals and basic supplies, with additional items available for purchase through the jail commissary. The selection includes food/treats, hygiene products, correspondence materials, pharmaceutical items, etc. These items can be purchased through an inmate cash account, which is set up and initially funded with money confiscated during the booking process. After that, family and friends can contribute funds to help pay for commissary items. You can do this in-person using the kiosk machine available in the public lobby of the jail, online at Access Corrections (note: there is a $100 maximum monthly limit), by ordering a care package using the Access SecurePak Catalog, or by calling Access Corrections at (800) 546-6283 to make deposits or order commissary items by phone. Alternatively, you can send a money order or government-issued check to the jail, ensuring you include the inmate’s name and booking number.

The Maple Street Correctional Facility may not be a place anyone wants to be, but with this guide, you’ll have all the information you need to support your loved ones during this challenging time.

Incentive-Based Visitation

For incentive-based visitation, you can pre-register by calling (650) 599-3000 between 6:30 A.M. and 9:30 P.M. These visits are available Tuesday through Friday at 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM and on Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 PM, 7:00 PM, and 9:00 PM.

Visiting Rules

There are several rules that visitors must follow when visiting an inmate at Maple Street Jail. Some of these rules include:

Visitors must present valid government-issued photo identification.
Children must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times.
Visitors are not allowed to bring cell phones, electronic devices, food, beverages, or gum into the lobby or visitation area of the jail.
Visitors must remain in the booth during the appointment, and leaving the booth will result in the cancellation of the visit.
Unauthorized visitors are not allowed in the visiting room, and bringing them will result in the cancellation of the visit and potentially future privileges.
Visitors who appear under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be denied entry.
Damaging jail property can lead to prosecution.
Disruptive, disrespectful, or abusive behavior will result in the cancellation of the visit and denied future visitation privileges.
There is also a dress code in effect at Maple Street Jail. Clothing that staff determines unacceptable will interfere with your visitation appointment. Shorts, dresses, and skirts with hemlines shorter than fingertip length, revealing or provocative clothing, gang displays or insignias, hats, bandanas, hoods, beanies, hairnets, steel-toed boots, stiletto heels, or any shoes that will set off a metal detector are not allowed.

Conclusion

Now that you have all the information you need, you can confidently visit an inmate at Maple Street Correctional Facility. Remember to follow the rules and dress code, and avoid discussing the criminal case during your visit. We hope you have a successful visit and can provide much-needed support to your loved one during this difficult time.
