Best Companies to Help You Get Out of MCA Loans in 2026
Top Companies to Help You Get Out of MCA Loans - 2026
Merchant cash advances are always expensive, but they are not always fatal. Take the first one, and after debiting 10% of your daily revenue, cash is tight but you may still get by. Take another and now you’re hitting 20%. Then a third, and now maybe 30% or more of your weekly revenue is going to pay back MCAs.
Before you call a lender or a settlement firm, get a handle on the details of each MCA: total advance, factor rate, daily debit, funder, remaining balance. Then do the math and get an idea of the percentage of daily or weekly revenue you’re paying out. Above 25% and things look severe, above 40% things are getting desperate.
Delancey Street
Important: Delancey Street is not a law firm. They are a specialized MCA debt settlement company that works with a nationwide network of licensed attorneys - attorneys who challenge confessions of judgment, argue usury reclassification, negotiate settlements, and file emergency motions when funders get aggressive. Their attorney network operates in every state, with deep experience in the New York courts where most MCA cases are filed.
Here is how it works. You call Delancey Street. They review every MCA agreement you signed - the factor rate, the reconciliation clause (or lack of one), the COJ, the personal guarantee, the UCC filings. Then they build a strategy. Maybe it is a straight settlement at 40 cents on the dollar. Maybe the agreement is so defective that reclassification as a usurious loan voids the debt entirely. Maybe the funder filed a COJ against your out-of-state business in violation of CPLR §3218. Every case is different. But the outcome is the same - you get out.
They handle the entire fight: ACH revocation coordination, bank account protection, COJ vacatur, usury defense under GOB §5-501, settlement negotiation, and if needed - full litigation through their attorney network. Over $100M in MCA debt settled. No upfront fees. All 50 states.
National Debt Relief
Important: National Debt Relief is better known for consumer debt settlement - credit cards, personal loans, medical bills. They do handle some business debt, but they are not MCA-specific. They do not file COJ challenges, do not argue usury reclassification, and do not coordinate attorney-led MCA defense. Where they fit: if you carry unsecured business debt alongside your MCA obligations - credit card balances, vendor accounts, lines of credit - National Debt Relief can address that portion while a firm like Delancey Street handles the MCA fight.

CuraDebt
Important: CuraDebt is not a law firm and does not handle MCA-specific litigation, COJ challenges, or usury defense. They are a business debt and IRS/state tax resolution firm with 25+ years of experience and IAPDA certification. Where they fit: if your MCA situation has created tax problems - missed payroll deposits, unfiled returns, IRS notices - CuraDebt can handle the tax side while Delancey Street handles the MCA defense. They also work with general business debt like vendor accounts and credit lines.
Consolidation Loan
Start with the cheapest money you can qualify for. If you can get an SBA 7(a) loan to refinance, your APR might be about 10-12%. The term will be ten years, and you’ll need a personal credit score of 680 or better, plus two years in business. The best bet is to contact multiple lenders to see who has appetite for your deal. If one bites, you might be able to get your loan closed and funded in two or three months.
If the SBA says no, you might look at specialty MCA consolidation lenders. APRs range from about 15-30%, and loan terms run 12-48 months. Rates are higher than SBA, and loan terms are much shorter, but the cost is lower than an MCA. Programs are built specifically for stacked borrowers, so you have a higher chance of qualifying. Credibly is one example of a specialty MCA consolidation lender. Funding Circle offers larger loan sizes, up to $500K. A typical consolidation loan closes with your new lender wiring funds directly to each funder to payoff your current MCAs. Your daily debits stop the next business day after your consolidation loan closes. And now there’s one monthly payment to your new lender.
MCA Debt Settlement Company
When the stack gets deep and nobody wants to lend to you, it’s time to call an MCA debt settlement company. The settlement company contacts each funder, shows your financial distress, and negotiates a lump-sum payoff amount - usually somewhere between 40-70% of each MCA’s remaining balance. This reduced payoff amount is funded by a new consolidation loan or your cash. The MCA funders then release UCC liens. The process takes 45-90 days. While the time, energy, and cost can seem high, settling MCAs has its advantages. The overall debt amount can be reduced by 30-60% through lump-sum payouts. Settlement takes less time than bankruptcy, and credit damage is moderate.
Remember that settlement has catches, too. Fees are usually around 20-25% of the savings you receive. Fees are paid after your settlement is complete. The debt you settle for less than you owe will ding your credit score, though maybe not as much as a bankruptcy. Some funders may refuse a settlement offer and sue you. The IRS will likely view the forgiven amount as taxable income for the year you settle. Your funder might even send you a Form 1099-C. Not all forgiven debt is taxed as income, though. If you are insolvent or filing for bankruptcy, you might be able to exclude this debt by filing IRS Form 982. Consider talking to a CPA before you settle.
MCA settlement firms are not all good guys. Reputable firms charge a percent of the amount they save you, and collect after they settle. So if a settlement company demands $5K-$25K upfront before it settles anything, proceed with caution. The Federal Trade Commission Telemarketing Sales Rule bars “debt relief services” from collecting money until a debt is settled and a payment made. Beware ‘bailout’ offers promising guaranteed approval with no credit check. Make sure a ‘consolidation loan’ is not just another MCA in disguise. A real consolidation loan comes with an APR, a monthly payment, and an amortization schedule.
MCA contracts often include a confession of judgment, which is a pre-signed judgment the funder can file if you default. Since 2019, New York law limits a funder’s ability to use one. Other states still honor them. Fighting the judgment in court is expensive. Instead of risking this, read your contracts carefully before choosing a strategy.
The good news is that some regulators are cracking down. In March 2024, the Federal Trade Commission extended its ban on telemarketing misrepresentation to business-to-business calls. And in January 2025, the New York Attorney General won a judgment of more than $1 billion against Yellowstone Capital for issuing predatory loans disguised as MCAs. If you own a small company in California, you have some extra help. Since October 2023, state rules have barred MCA companies from unfair, deceptive or abusive practices. If you’re in California and things aren’t adding up, file a complaint with the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation.
Whichever route you take, two cautions: any consolidation loan will require a personal guarantee, so read its scope. And each MCA likely filed a UCC lien that takes 14-30 days to release after payoff.
A Lower Daily Debit and Longer Term
Do you really need a settlement company? The simplest approach is to call each funder’s collections team and ask for a lower daily debit and longer term. The funder gets slow money instead of none. If revenue has fallen, you may also be able to use the reconciliation clause in your MCA contract to lower the daily debit. After you and the funder agree, get it in writing. This option works best with one or two MCAs.
If you own collateral, you might be able to refinance it to pay off your MCAs. Business real estate or equipment work, and receivables or inventory might, too. This option often works if you own collateral and consolidation lenders won’t give you a loan, but keep in mind you could lose the assets.
If you’ve tried to find a loan, talked to a settlement firm, reached out to a specialty debt law firm, and none of those options worked, bankruptcy may be the only path out. If you decide on bankruptcy, two options are a Chapter 11 restructuring or a Chapter 7 liquidation. The maximum debt limit to file for Subchapter V small business Chapter 11 is $3,424,000. Speak to a bankruptcy attorney before you file.
The bottom line on who to call is this: apply to 3-5 consolidation lenders at once if you can qualify. If they decline, find a settlement firm that is paid from the savings it delivers after settling. Don’t take another MCA - it’s usually the wrong answer. The first step to digging out is to stop adding, and start subtracting.
