Assault Overview

Assault is a violent crime against another human being, and it is typically seen as having been committed if a person:

1. Tries to or does physically strike another or;
2. Acts in a manner to put another in fear of immediate harm

This is a very broad definition of assault and the lawyers who charge people with this crime look at a lot of factors before leveling someone with this charge.
